Right away the swamp tour we found out that there was a
plantation nearby that had a tour starting soon. We had just enough time to drive straight
there. On the way I was smart enough to
check Groupon and we were able to do the tour for half the price.
Looking back at how life used to be is very interesting to me…
especially when I can actually go to the various locations and see it for
myself. The Nottoway Plantation is known
for being the largest antebellum mansion still around down south. We got to tour the majority of the house as
well as enjoy the beauty of the lands.
We had two tour guides since one of them was still in the
training process. We had fun encouraging
him along even when he would forget something.
We toured the mansion with two other couples from various
countries.
I love how long the driveways were to the house...
