We ended up taking Mateo with us to Jujuy. He was super excited because he wanted to be
there for his cousin’s birthday and the opportunity to meet his new cousin
(Natalia’s baby). Adriana picked us up
in the morning and brought us to the bus station.

On the way up to Jujuy we made a stop in Tucuman to visit
with Laura. For the first couple hours
we let him borrow Matthew’s tablet to watch cartoons while we were able to
catch up with Laura on life in Argentina and her future ministry plans for the
year. While we visited we ate pastries
and drank some tea.

After a couple hours she made us lunch and then we all
went out for ice cream. It was a special
treat for Mateo so he enjoyed it even though he was stuck with three adults who
spoke English half the time. We then
went back to Laura’s and played some games while we continued to visit.

That evening we headed back to the bus station to
continue our trip up to Jujuy. The bus
getting to Tucuman was luxurious in comparison to the bus that brought us the
rest of the way. Not only was it over an
hour late it stopped at all the little villages along the way where people
would get off and take forever. We ended
up arriving in Jujuy over two hours later than expected and starving.
