Matthew and German have been dreaming about going to Yellowstone for over
four years and I always thought it was a pipe dream that wouldn’t happen… boy
was I surprised when we were able to plan it for this summer and the Dellicker’s
jumped on board and joined us in this crazy dream. After spending the weekend together for Chris’
birthday, we all decided it would be fun to spend a week together in a cabin
this summer… so we combined the two ideas and found a cabin just outside of
Yellowstone and booked it for the week.
As the trip got closer, we decided to split the drive up a bit and leave early… so we met just over the border in Idaho on Saturday July 9th. On Sunday, we all headed to Silverwood for the day. We spent the morning enjoying the water rides and lazy river. I’m not a huge rollercoaster fan so I go to the parks mainly to hang out with the people. Mason doesn’t enjoy them either so we would hang out a lot while they went on the rides. After we learned about the fast passes for people with disabilities, we took advantage of those, and the lines went a lot faster. When the water park closed, we headed back to the other side and went on all the rides we could in the few hours we had left before the park closed. Of course, before we left the park, we ate Elephant Ears and then headed out to dinner at Applebee’s before going to the hotel to get some sleep.
