The day after the wedding was planned as a day to relax. We had no set plans for the day which was
really nice. Matthew usually hits a brick wall after two
days so he spent most of the day in bed doing just that… relaxing and
recovering. After sleeping in and
recovering from my migraine, I got up and ate some breakfast.
Since it was raining outside most of us decided to head over to a
local plantation museum. It was very
interesting not only learning about how the plantation ran but also learning
about the history of Haiti and how the people fought for their freedom.
After the tour we found out the tour guide was a Christian. We were able to continue to wander around the
plantation. Most people bought something
from the gift shop but everyone ended up with a souvenir, a painted rock from
Haiti. This was the perfect outing for
the day…
