The two weeks following out trip to Spokane was a
whirlwind. Between spending time with
friends… doctor appointments… helping prepare my sister’s new house so they
could move in… dinner with the Millar’s… lunch with Bev… and starting work
there wasn't a minute to spare. In fact,
the whole summer seemed to fly by. We
tried to stay as busy as we could to keep our mind off things.
Since we had only been on one camping trip this summer we
jumped at the chance to go on another one.
This time it was a lower key trip with a couple friends…. We invited the
Bowman’s to come as well as Chris and Elizabeth (who came up for part of the
time).
The weekend was spent being lazy around the fire, eating
lots of yummy food prepared by the guys, shooting at the gun range, spending
more time around the fire visiting, playing games and doing puzzles in the
trailer, and unfortunately fixing our trailer.
Although it rained part of the trip it was a much needed
time away with friends. Camping and
spending time in nature always seems to refresh me… and doing so with friends
is even better… though we did miss having Shane around quite a bit. My prayer is that one day we can experience
times like this with him once again.
