Although my Spring Break
officially started on April 1st the first week did not feel like a
break. I spent the week helping Shane
with homework so that he wouldn't be so behind when we got back from our family
vacation. Unfortunately, he only got
half of his assignments before the break so we still had to play catch up after
we got home.
On April 5th
our vacation finally started. We left as
soon as my mother was off work for our long drive down to Anaheim,
California. It didn't take long to
realize that sitting in the back seat with Shane and my mother was not going to
be the most comfortable but it sure did save us a lot of Matthew since we didn't have to pay for our own gas.
We arrived in Anaheim
early the next morning and stopped by my sister’s hotel to rest, since she had
flown down a couple days earlier.
Finally, we headed over to our condo to get settled for the week. Since Dan wasn't able to come down my parents
shared their condo with Kim & the girls, and us. It worked out perfectly since it was three
bedrooms and Shane could sleep on the hide a bed.
After lunch we headed down
the pool for a couple hours. This was a
day to just relax and unwind from the trip.
The condo was beautiful as was the weather so it was the perfect way to
relax.
Our luggage and food that was crammed in the back of the car...
Going for a walk to stretch our legs after the long drive...
All ready for a vacation...
The boys relaxing at the hot tub...
Let the fun begin...
That evening Matthew and I did a double date with Jimmy & Karen. It was so much fun to be able to go out with them and have the opportunity to just talk and catch up. Very rarely do we get to spend time with out the children. Of course we appreciated Mom and Dad watching all the kids for us..!
