What a blessing it was when Cooper
came into our room one Saturday and told us that Alyssa was on her way over.
She wanted Cooper to meet Hudson and since he was living with us, he invited
her over. Originally, she didn’t want to come because she thought we were mad
at her, but he was able to convince her that we were not mad and that she was
welcome to come.
Amelia and Christopher were so excited
when they arrived at our house… Christopher went straight for his robot toy and
Ameilia ran straight back to the bedroom to see Matthew (and get a treat).
We had a good visit with Alyssa
getting caught up on what has been going on in her life for the last few months
ang getting to meet Hudson for the first time. Amelia and Christopher ran all
over the house… it was the perfect way to spend the afternoon.
This is how I envisioned things would
go when Alyssa moved out… that she would come over and visit us for a couple
hours on a Saturday… we would be able to visit with her, love on the kids, and
then send them off until the next visit. What a blessing it was to have this
reconciliation and have her send messages and pictures between visits.
Love these little men...
Alyssa even stopped by for another
visit a couple weeks later when she was in the area and had a couple hours until
the next activity. Before she comes, or when she first arrives, I quickly twin proof
the house… and then we can enjoy the time with the kids loving on them while they
are there. Cooper enjoys being able to
see his grandkids and love on them.
