We decided to host New Year’s Eve at our house this year with a
handful of friends. Unfortunately, right
before everyone arrived the power decided to go out. The meat wasn’t quite done so we pulled out
the generator to hook the Traeger up to it.. as well give us some light in the house. Thankfully, no one that came over was bothered
by the lack of power.
Mariah and German were the first to arrive with their friends
from Argentina… Ramiro and Celina... and
Chris and Sarah arrived shortly after.
All the kids were excited to see each other and play even though it was
dark. I think the biggest bummer was
that my massage chair did not have power for the evening.
We had fun just hanging out and visiting… and playing silly
games. Of course, we also enjoyed yummy
food. After about 5 hours the power came
back on just before midnight… just in time for Celina and Ramiro to try out my
chair. We toasted in the new year with
apple cider or wine and then Chris did a fireworks show for everyone. All in all it was the perfect evening with
friends.
