Mirko is fascinated with anything “cowboy” and was very
excited when he found out that we were going to take them to Montana. Unfortunately we didn't have many days to
travel since winter break was almost over but we did make it all the way over
to Missoula, Montana on Friday evening.
The drive over was absolutely beautiful especially as we drove through
the mountain passes. Matthew was wonderful and even pulled over on regular intervals
so we could take pictures of the view.
We wanted them to be able to experience various types of
food and so we took advantage of this on our trips since we had to eat out
anyways. We decided to stop in Idaho at
a Mexican restaurant. The food was
delicious as usual.
One of my favorite part of the drive...
Enjoying Mexican food...
Once we arrived in Montana our first stop was the 50,000 Silver
Dollar Bar. It was the first time I have
ever been there and it was pretty amazing.
Mirko enjoyed it so much that he decided he wanted to contribute a
silver dollar and get his name on the wall too.
Now we have to go back next year to find his name and take a
picture. The souvenir store was also a
lot of fun to visit.
Ready for some shopping...
Mirko visiting with the locals.. :)
Signing the book for his name on the wall...
Now he just needs to wait for his name on the wall..!
On Saturday morning we were able to tour Missoula for a
couple hours. Other than the gorgeous
view our favorite spot was the Rocky Mountain Elk Museum. After touring the museum we started our drive
back to Spokane stopping at various tourist locations and antique stores alone
the way.
Missoula, Montana... very pretty
Ready for a tour of the museum...
They had things besides Elk of course...
Shane checking out the heads...
More beauty along the way...
It was pretty but cold and windy...
Once again stopping to enjoy the beauty..!
